This is not Fisher at the Urgent Care again...this is Fisher in the Emergency Room. He started running a high fever on Thursday. By Friday night he was complaining about abdominal pain on his right side - he would cry if we touched his right side. So, doc office said "emergency room, now." That was 11:30pm Friday night. Off Fish and Jason went. 16 hours later they had determined that it was not his appendix and sent us home.
As of today, Sunday, he is still running a high fever but we can keep it down with meds. He'll go see his regular doctor tomorrow. Urgent Care last week, ER this week, let's hope the whole "things happen in 3's" isn't true!!
*Side note: It was surreal to be on the third floor of the Children's Hospital at Emanuel again. That is where Fisher spent 10 days in the Neo-natal Intensive Care unit when he was a newborn. Walking down that hall again I could remember the sights and smells and it was really like it just happened yesterday.

Fisher getting his IV...what a trooper!

He was so happy when the doctor told him he could finally eat! He ate 3/4 of a roll and two cherry tomatos and was full. LOL.
UPDATE: Went in Monday to his regular doc. He said it sounds like pneumonia and ordered a chest x-ray. The results are in and NO it is not pneumonia thankfully...just a nasty, troublesome, thoughtless, inconsiderate, rude, VIRUS.

co-pay, $100...10% of total costs, ~$150...spending the night at the hospital with my son and having it not be appendicitis, priceless.
:-)
fisher looks sooooo much like jason in those pictures....we'll be praying for that little guy...and for the "third" three not to hit :)
Holy COW! What's wrong with the nurses hands? They're PURPLE! They need to admit him too!
We're still praying for that kiddo of yours!
